Our humans brought us to The Farmer’s Dog on a warm July day. It was busy, but we received a lovely welcome from the friendly staff, complete with a water bowl and a cuddle. A promising start for guests with excellent noses and very short legs.
Dogs were welcome throughout indoors, and we had room to settle while our humans enjoyed their meal. We stayed inside with the doors open, keeping us comfortably involved in proceedings while letting in a little summer air.
There’s also a terrace with additional seating and a garden outside. After lunch, we took our humans around the garden for some important sniffing research. We believe a balanced outing should include refreshments for them and interesting smells for us.
Our humans found the food very good and high quality, with special mentions for the pie and sausages. Naturally, anything involving sausages attracts close attention from the dachshund delegation. They also appreciated the good service and excellent value. Despite the bustle, the atmosphere felt lively but comfortable, and they’d happily make a special trip back—with us, naturally.
Silver Bowl: lovely food, a friendly welcome for paws and a garden to round off the outing.
