Our humans brought us to this traditional pub on a chilly February day. Dogs were welcome throughout indoors, and there was enough space for us to settle into our usual position: close to the humans, with noses available for dinner enquiries.
The atmosphere was calm and relaxed, although it felt a little cool indoors too. We recommend bringing our blanket—an essential accessory for dachshunds who take comfort seriously.
The staff were polite, with service a little mixed during our visit. Nothing was offered for us, so our humans should bring our water and other essentials. There’s outside seating too, although we stayed indoors on this occasion.
Our humans particularly enjoyed the steaks and thought the food very good and fairly priced. We followed their findings with considerable interest, despite receiving no invitation to join the tasting panel.
Bronze Bowl: very good human food in a calm setting, with canine comforts best brought along.
